Jazzin up the Rebel
The town of Kloudchord was quite peaceful as always and there were no problems among the people. Alexis liked the Atmosphere. She actually preferred the quiet towns as opposed to the noisy cities. It let her think and helped her avoid getting a headache. She was sitting at a small cafe, sipping at a nice latte with her Poochyena Runa sitting on the seat across from her and eating pokemon food. Alexis didn't allow herself to rest often, but they had been walking for a while. They deserved a break.

Re: Jazzin up the Rebel
Kloudechord was a beautifully serene city. It was a bit lax in Martin's opinion, but there wasn't much fighting here, so the peaceful atosphere made it the perfect place to calm down and relax for a bit.
Sera meanwhile seemed to believe for this place to be a little too peaceful, loudly but cheerfully greeting everyone they came across.
Then however something interesting caught the trainer's eye. It was a girl, sitting at a café. Normally that would be nothing out of the ordinary, but the way this person was dressed stood in sharp contrast to the general style of the city. She obviously wasn't from here. Dramoria maybe.
Now Martin wasn't the kind of person to judge people based on what they were wearing, but he personally didn't quite like the clothing of this lady. It seemed to indicate a cold nature and a generally dark nature. But of course he could be entirely wrong.

Re: Jazzin up the Rebel
Celine grinned, taking in the city views with an excited eye. Kloudecord was a laid back town, and the people there openly showed that attitude. People weren't really rushing around like they did back home in Obsidian Town, but rather meandering around at their own pace. Celine looked up as her Aerodactyl, Auro, shrieked and hovered in front of her, wanting attention. She gave it to him easily, petting him in between the horns on his head, his favorite place to be stroked. Then she continued on her way, coming to a stop in front of a familiar young man. It was Martin, that naive doctor-wannabe who had witnessed her embarrassing defeat at the hands of that Summer chick! She sneered at him. "Oh, look what the Purrloin dragged in. If it isnt the naive wannabe doctor and his weak little sidekick. What are the likes of you doing here in Kloudecord? Are you hoping that the laid back people will believe in your naive nonsense? " she asked him nastily.

Re: Jazzin up the Rebel
Valka walked through the streets of the town, her face a mixture of happy and calm. She was on her way to try and enter some contests, and simply had to pass through Kloudechord, not wanting to spend too much time here. She hugged Spry, who was resting in her arms, the goo sliding off the sleeve of her water proof hooded jacket. The people all seemed very relaxed, easing Val and her Goomy's need to rush.
Valka's long turquoise hair was tucked neatly under her hood, the very front of which covering her forehead slightly. As comfortable as she felt in this town, she much preferred to keep her mysterious cloak on. Maybe she would get a matching one for her Goomy... If he preferred it.

Re: Jazzin up the Rebel
Alexis sighed as she pulled out a next gen pokegear, the screen bigger than the previous one but able to be worn at her neck. She began looking through the region's news app to check what was happening. "Well Runa, we don't have a plan exactly. We can go anywhere... though I'd like to go where it isn't too loud. I'm enjoying the change in volume here." Runa barked a little at Alexis and she shrugged. "I dunno where to go. Maybe we'll just find something that catches our interest and head off. Its not like I am expecting to find a perfect place for my idea right away after all..."

Re: Jazzin up the Rebel
While Sera found herself glowering darkly at the obnoxious trainer she vividly remembered from an earlier encounter, Martin gracefully ignored the insult, knowing that such a thing would most likely upset a person like her much more than trying to refute it.
"Oh no, we are simply enjoying the scenery, thank you.", he responded kindly.
"I do believe that we can learn many a thing from the people around us. I suggest for you to take this lesson to heart as well. It may be useful to you one day."
It definitely was not too pleasant an experience to run into Celine again, but Martin was determined not to let something like this ruin his day. And if she intended to make him mad, then wouldn't the best revenge be to simply not get mad?

Re: Jazzin up the Rebel
Celine sneered at the man's calm words. How could he just shrug off her fighting words like that? She wanted to test his prowess in battle, but he just wouldn't get angry enough to challenge her. And he wouldn't accept any challenge she offered because he was worried about hurting his pokemon. She huffed. "Whatever. You're just worried you wouldn't be able to beat me in a battle. Auro's gotten stronger since last time you saw him, while your togepi doesn't look any better, anyway." at those words, she turned away and began walking towards a girl in black clothes, who was sitting at a table with her poochyena.
"Hey you! Wanna have a pokemon battle with my Auro, here?" she offered, confident in Auro's ability to dominate the much smaller poochyena.

Re: Jazzin up the Rebel
Valka lifted up Spry, trying to see if she could balance the Goomy on her hooded head. He evened and distributed his weight so he wouldn't fall off, and stayed up there like an adorable obedient little purple ditto glued atop her head. Val walked by a café where several trainers sat. One of which was familiar. It was Celine. Valka couldn't decide whether to walk in and say hi, or to leave the battle to those inside there.
Spry slid off her head into her arms, where he slipped down onto the ground and sludged over to the café.
"Spry, where are you going?"
He must've been hungry. Hungry for food, or hungry for new friends.

Re: Jazzin up the Rebel
Of course Alexis had noticed their approach. You'd have to be especially thick to not notice a six foot dinosaur bird in your immediate area. The challenge was a surprise though. Not that it was given, but that someone with such a large pokemon would challenge someone with a little poochyena. O course, Runa was far tougher than one could guess rom looking at her. Alexis turned to her pokemon before answering. "What do you think Runa? Do you want to battle them? A one on one battle?" Runa puffed out her chest and put on a tough look. Alexis nodded and turned back to Celine. "Well Runa is up for it. Where shall we do this?"

Re: Jazzin up the Rebel
Once again the insolent little girl had tried to insult Martin and his Togepi.
However it was clear to see her frustration upon the Friendship Rater's lack of anger.
Sera meanwhile was once again waving her stubby arm in the air, intending to use Metronome.
This time however the gentleman was able to stop her, gently holding her arm in place with two fingers. Sera still was mad and would have loved to show her true power to the mean girl, but she decided for it to be best to listen to her trainer. Maybe they would get defeated again. That would definitely be a sight to behold. If they were to be defeated enough, then maybe the girl would stop saying those mean things.
Martin meanwhile knew that it was useless trying to convince the trainers to stop battling, so he decided to settle for watching and healing the wounded afterwards.

Re: Jazzin up the Rebel
Celine grinned. "Let's. Auro, let's show these guys how we do it!"
Auro let out a shriek and launched himself into the sky. He circled, readying himself for battle.
"Auro, get close to it and use Supersonic!" Celine called.
Auro let out a soft cry of agreement. He dove out of the sky towards the poochyena, letting out a shriek that was silent to the watching humans, but was meant to disorient and confuse the dog-like pokemon.

Re: Jazzin up the Rebel
Valka chased her little Goomy down the street and into the café. Already, Celine was engaged in battle... Inside the café.... With a giant bird rock dinosaur..... That wasn't going to go well. Spry didn't care about this, however, as he squeezed through the door, opening it slightly to get inside. Val followed attentively, making sure he didn't get it the way.
She picked him up, nodding an apology to anyone he got in the way of, and carried him to a table. While waiting for someone to ask what she would like to eat, her attention to the battlers with her head propped onto one hand. Celine was going all-out, as usual, on the small Pokemon. Another trainer was watching them, who didn't look to pleased, his little egg-like Pokemon in a slight huff.
Oh dear. Looks like that....
She stopped her thought, as a waitress came over to ask what she'd like. But Val didn't order anything and simply dismissed the waitress, too focused on the combat occurring before her.

Re: Jazzin up the Rebel
Alexis saw there was no way to avoid the Supersonic attack. The fact that the high pitched tones were used against a canine pokemon made it doubly impossible to escape. So They had to take the attack... and pay it back two-fold. "Wait until it gets close enough and latch on." Runa nodded and stood her ground despite the waves of energy making her dizzy. luckily she was focusing enough to attack. With a preceding growl, Runa jumped up at the down swooping Aerodactyl. There was no way a creature o its size could turn away fast enough. Runa's teeth filled with electricity and chomped down on its wing-arm, sending volts off electricity through the flying type's body for maximum damage. The Thunder Fang attack was pretty effective against the Aerodactyl, but it wasn't down yet. Runa hung on as hard as she could.

Re: Jazzin up the Rebel
Involuntarily Martin cringed at the amount of excessive violence that presented itself in front of him.
It did not even serve a real purpose. It was just battling for the sake of battling. Not that combat would be acceptable for most other purposes of course.
And furthermore this fight clearly showed how inconsiderate this trainer was acting. If they had at least decided to fight somewhere outside of the city, then it wouldn't have been as bad. However in this area there were many other trainers and their Pokémon present, coupled with a huge danger for large amounts of property damage. At least one thing was likeable about this battle though. Celine and her Aerodactyl seemed to be in trouble. And that meant a blow to the absurdly huge ego of the little lady, who would hopefully have a change of heart about the way she was acting sooner or later.

Re: Jazzin up the Rebel
Celine's eyes widened at the other trainer's tactics. She winced as she saw the dog-like pokemon chomp down on Auro's wing, its jaws crackling with electricity.
Auro shrieked angrily, a clear note of pain in his usual powerful cry. He attempted to shake off the poochyena frantically, the weight of the other pokemon making it hard to raise himself into the air more than a few feet off the ground.
He didn't hear his trainer giving him any direction, so he made a decision by himself, though perhaps it was not the best of ones. He aimed his encumbered wing at the brick wall of the cafe they were fighting beside and whacked the pokemon against the wall, attempting to shake it off his wing -electricity weakness aside, if the dog hung on any longer, it was going to tear huge rips through his wing!
Celine watched helplessly as Auro shrieked and wheeled in the sky, attempting to shake off the other pokemon. Her eyes widened as she watched him attempt to get the poochyena off his wing by whacking the poor dog against the cafe wall. She winced. "Auro, no!" she called, but it was too late to stop her friend from ripping one of the tarps that hung over one of the cafe's windows. Great. Win or lose, she was going to have to pay for that one. Perhaps fighting directly outside of a cafe hadn't exactly been one of her best ideas.

Re: Jazzin up the Rebel
Watching what just occurred, Valka's eyes grew wide. Spry even poked his head out of her pocket to see what happened. Everyone else in the cafe stopped their chatting to watch the flailing Dino-bird smash its wings all over the place, knocking over some tapestry.
A waitress hurried over, looking quite stressed. She looked about with wide, worried eyes at the trainers. As if habit, Val pulled forward and hid behind her hood. The waitress looked at the pokemon, and then at the fallen curtain. Anyone thought she would've been mad and would've began yelling, but instead she grabbed, folded, and carried the cloth into the Employees Only area.
It was known for people to battle in cafés, so Val finally realized this must've been a common happening. But still, with such large, powerful, and mischievous pokemon, she was surprised that any building at all allowed indoor battles.

Re: Jazzin up the Rebel
This was the exact reason why battles were such a horrible thing. The Aerodactyl obviously was in great pain, the area was in danger of being trashed and there was nothing to be gained from this encounter at all. Why couldn't trainers instead play chess against each other or do something similar?
It was only to hope that the owner of the café would at least be tolerant enough to not bill the trainers for the damage created as otherwise this battle could carry with it quite expensive results.
And hopefully the Pokémon would be alright too of course. The Friendship Rater really did not want to be in the Rock type's position right now.
